If you are not sure what network to search, log in to your account to verify your coverage. You can also contact our office at 307-632-3313 or 800-735-3379 for a list of participating dentists.

According to your group or individual contract, examinations are covered benefits that may be subject to frequency limitations. This is true whether the examination is performed by a general dentist or by a specialist. To review your frequency limitations, log in to your account or contact our office.

No, dependent family members can only be added at the renewal date of the group or individual contract if the employer allows open enrollment periods or when a qualifying event occurs. We need to be notified within 31 days of the qualifying event.
A qualifying event includes:

  • Birth / legal custody / adoption
  • Death
  • Loss of other dental insurance coverage
  • Marriage/divorce

You will need to send us a request in writing to cancel your individual dental plan. If we receive your request in writing prior to the 10th of the month we will cancel your policy at the end of that month. If we receive the cancellation request after the 10th of the month, then the cancellation will be the end of the following month.

A preauthorization of benefits allows you to know in advance what procedures are covered, the amount your plan will pay toward treatment and your financial responsibility. Preauthorization’s are submitted by your dentist.

Services over $250 are always recommended to be preauthorized. There are also certain procedures that require a preauthorization of benefits before treatment is performed for your treatment to be covered by your benefits. Even if it is not required, Delta Dental encourages preauthorization’s for extensive treatments or if you visit an out-of-network dentist. For Kid Care CHIP preauthorization is required for oral surgery and highly recommended for all other services to determine medical necessity.

Yes, your Delta Dental coverage travels with you! You are covered whether you are across country or traveling abroad, which is especially helpful if you:

  • Are outside of Wyoming for any reason whatsoever;
  • Are a full-time student attending an out-of-state college;
  • Spend time at a secondary residence outside of Wyoming.

Our plans allow you to visit any dentist you choose. However, you will have lower out-of-pocket costs and better benefits by seeing a Delta Dental network dentist. If you see an out-of-network dentist, you may have services covered at a lower benefit level.

INTRODUCING: DELTA DENTAL'S NEW HOW® PROGRAM

Delta Dental of Wyoming is proud to introduce the NEW Health through Oral Wellness® program, or HOW® for short. HOW is a unique, patient-centered program that adds additional benefits to dental plans, based on the patient's individual oral health needs. By performing a simple risk assessment at the beginning of the patient's visit, high-risk patients may have access to additional preventive and health-sustaining benefits.
